Establishing and Managing
Meta & Master Data

Data quality is one of the major challenges for organizations trying to build and improve their analytical capabilities today. A major breakthrough for many of Ortelius’ customers in improving their data quality has been establishing distributed governance of meta and master data and the utilization of taxonomies (product taxonomy, industry taxonomy, service taxonomy) and ontologies (the relation between taxonomies). This is an enterprise-wide problem where we have worked with Heads of Data and Analytics, CIOs, Corporate Development and Enterprise Architects to establish a new base line for data and information across the entire enterprise.
